Juan Torres Obituary

Juan F. Torres, 65, died on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at St. Luke's Hospital in New Bedford after a brief illness.

Born in Lares, Puerto Rico, son of the late Teofilo and Carmen Maria (Jimenez) Torres, he lived in New Bedford for most of his life.

Juan was a musician and loved to sing and play guitar. He was also a car enthusiast and enjoyed Puerto Rican food. He especially loved spending time with his family.

Juan is survived by his three sons, Albert, Cooky, and Jojo Torres; his two daughters, Amy and Laly Torres; 5 brothers; 4 sisters; and 6 grandchildren.

Private arrangements are with Machnowski Funeral Home, 472 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford.
